Ekta Creative Dance StudioTM was founded in 2020 to create a platform for traditional dance forms of the Indian subcontinent alongside the modern forms of movement today. Our unique approach draws on practices and features of Semi-Classical, Traditional Folk, Contemporary, and Bollywood, in an integrated setting for a holistic experience of dance. Our teaching philosophy places an emphasis on three core skills we believe are the foundation of dance; musicality, rhythm and movement. We encompass the culture behind the dance forms to enhance a dancers' understanding of performance, story-telling, presence, expression and movement, to awake and nurture the artist that lives within each one of us.
